2 December 2008 15:50
Two of the country's financial heavyweights will be joining forces to offer customers new deals on insurance.
From this week, the insurance group LV= will provide its line of insurance products to Nationwide account holders as part of a wider agreement between the corporations.
The partnership is due to last for the next six years and will see LV= supply Nationwide's customers with car, travel and business insurance policies, among others.
Group chief executive of LV=, Mike Rogers, said that the two companies shared many of the same ideals, which allowed them to focus singularly on providing the best products for customers.
He added that LV= had strong growth plans for the future and was aiming to become one of the top five general insurers within the next four or so years.
According to the company, LV= presently insures about 650,000 cars, 440,000 homes and had approximately £8 billion in funds under management at the end of last year.
